How many of us consider "Hyper focal distance" and do you use a calculator?.
I have just downloaded one on my phone, still playing with it.
Does any one have one that they use if so, which one?.
I have recently switched to 4/3rd any one else?...cheers
I just use experience to guesstimate the focus point. After almost 50 years of 35mm film use I have a reasonable idea, and as I now use a camera with a small sensor the increased depth of field makes up for any errors I make.
Hyperfocal Pro - very good on my Android tablet.

Cheers.

I'm with John on this. I prefer to use a prime lens for landscapes and most have a DOF scale on the lens barrel, which I use to set the hyperfocal distance. If I happen to be using a zoom, I guesstimate. I have DOF Master on my 'phone but have never had to use it.
Nice to receive your reply's!.
I too use Hypofocal Pro, I find it very useful for Landscape if there is a strong foreground I want to include...cheers
