Super excited. Just got a 50mm prime off eBay. It's the old one - 1.8d - and it's immaculate, comes with a pouch and a protective filter. Looks brand new. I love this focal length on the crop Nikon - gives me around 75mm in real money. Can't wait to try some people shots. Here's a quick one grabbed straight out the box:

I have the same lens for my D7100, Derek, and it's superb.

Love my Nifty fifty, don't use it as much as I should though! If I am carrying a longer lens I will throw that in my pocket just in case.
