You have quite an eye. Very nice.

I love the colour and composition on this photo Irma. It has very interesting details and I've been staring at it for the past two minutes trying to make out what it is. Smile

Slight critique -- there is quite a bit of noise evident in the image... did you bump up the exposure or something?
It's my window in the kitchen Smile Yesterday, cleaning my windows, as any other responsible housewife Rolleyes ... I saw it and I took a lot of pictures ... I didn't finish cleaning the windows but I got a nice picture Wink

About the noise... well... yes, I added it intentionally... I think it adds some feeling to the picture...

Thanks for your comments Don and ST...
Nice job Irma. It looks as though you've been inspired by Mitches guitar photos. Smile
very nice composition and colour. you really show that there are wonderful photos everywhere waiting to be captured. (as for the windows, they can always be cleaned another day... Big Grin )

for pictures like this, i think the metal surfaces would be better being shown as smooth & shinny in order to give better contrast against say... the normal wear and tear on them. i find that adding noise in this case, doesn't enhance the mood of the shot, it just makes it appear "blotchy". a b&w conversion would have been a better choice to add mood.

just my 2 cents.
Hey - is that a window lock from a renovated German countryside farmhouse? Big Grin

Actually the noise works for me - it makes the image look old, like it's from a magazine advertisement circa the 1960s.

That was the idea... make it look old... I think the subject is suitable for this sort of post-processing...

@Christian: I like it as well... The thing is that I didn't know what to do with my picture so large and any background... The crop gives another interesting perspective... Thanks for your advice Smile
