Gee, I don't know. I kind of like the first one.

I'm with Colin, (I also AM Colin, but nevermind) the second looks a little washed out.... if you want to go with the lower contrast, maybe add some soft focus to make it a little dreamy?

I'm also with Colin ... and Colin. But I'm not. (Colin.)
Might be interesting to show a hand reaching for the knob.
What's the lock on, Irma?

Yes, that could be another idea and make it different from the other one... Thanks!
The lock is on my kitchen window... I processed b&w because the glass in the window was totally white... In the original I saw a dark shadow and I thought it wasn't right to have a dark shadow when the windows are so white...
Here is the original...

Call me Colin. We both agree on the first. Sorry Dewey...

Those window locks are really nice. What is your home's architectural style?

I really don't know... What I can tell you is that it is a big old house, built in the turn of the century, in the north part of Germany, it is in the contryside... It was those days a house of a farmer.... The actual landlord rebuilt a bit the interior and conditioned two houses in one, we are living in what was the stable .... Walls and some doors are still the original architecture... I really don't know about the windows but I think they are very old as well...
Here is the kitchen a little bit dark but I can give you the idea... You can see a Mexican is cooking in this kitchen because of the tacos at the left side
