DSLR Photography Forum

Hi everyone

I am looking on advice for getting a digital camera for my 12 year old Grandaughter. She is very into photography with her mobile phone but wants to take it further with a "proper camera". I have a canon 700D but think this is too expensive for a 12 year old. 

Any ideas on what cameras are good for getting her started (without being too expensive) would be appeciated.
