With Irma’s Accident, I was wondering how many of us carry Insurance on our Equipment.

My camera is covered no mater what happens. I could run it over with my car and the insurance company would cover it, no deductible too. Big Grin

No coverage whatsoever.... and seeing as I have dropped the Rebel once already, maybe I should consider some!
I actually never thought about it, but I think I will do something in this regard soon. I'll probably wait until the new camera arrives and have all the gear insured, then.
I have full replacement insurance. The camera equipment is separately listed on my policy and valued because most policies have low default limits on camera gear and separately listing means no deductable. With a deductable, it isn't worth claiming for something until it is greater value than $500 IMO. Separate listing costs more of course.

I have already claimed my old Leica when it crashed to the ground and could not be repaired for less than replacement cost - approx $850.

If my camera pack was stolen or lost with my F100 and A2, all my lenses, and flash etc. etc. - the loss would be something like $6000 CDN. I think insurance is a good idea.
Full replacement.
Haven't cover, as my cameras at the moment aren't worth it. Calling items out in the insurance policy increases my premiums quite a bit, as does protection outside the home (i.e. if you take it along on a holiday)...

Maybe when I get my next camera... Big Grin
I have none, but I'm sure I'll think about it when my camera things break SadSadSad
Maybe when I get more expensive gear Wink
I have it covered under my home insurance. In fact if I were to lose or break my present camera, I could replace it with a better one (hmm).

Full replacement. I just re-did it yesterday. $13,620.00 That covers me for lost, stolen, damaged or ANYTHING that happens to it.
I costed $13620 for insurance? :| per year?!
Nope, thats the replacement value my friend. Insurance on that is $240.00 per year.
240? Hey that's pretty reasonable...

is that through a specialised camera insurer, or just your house and contents one?
Its through a special insurance ryder on my house insurance.
