Just doing some thinking... I wonder why cameras don't have a distance finder on them. When the lens is focused at a particular focal length, the camera should be able to tell what the distance to the subject is, right?

It's probably a useless feature to most, but may be useful perhaps for some calculations e.g. determining if subject is within flash range, depth of field, etc...
I've often thought that myself, don't what the information would be useful for, but I want it anyway! Big Grin
