I recently bought myself a light tent as I tend to photograph a lot of medals and badges etc.
Doe's anyone now what material they are made of ?
More specifically, there is a piece of material that fits inside to use as a background, I would like to buy some more but dont know what to ask for or where to get it short of going and buying a purpose made one at extra cost.
Anyone know what I am talking about ?

Cheers
Steve
Hey Steve, I must admit that I haven't heard the phrase until you mentioned it! I usually photograph my product shots in the open using a large piece of white cardboard rested against wall and table.

I did some googling and found a couple of links to articles showing how to build your own light tent - maybe you might find some info there:

Funny, I just made my own light tent, but haven't had a chance to play with it yet. I use a white posterboard for the backdrop. Or, if I want a reflection under the object, I might get a piece of glass or clear plexiglass and put the white posterboard underneath.
Hi

Uuhmm have never used a light tent, always used my own stuff, mostly of white board or white material and if i wanted some reflection on the surface just added some hard pastic. used two 500w elincrom with unbrellas or bounce of a white reflector.
