G'day All,

I have not posted any pics for a while (have not taken many Sad ) So I thought I would share some from a weekend away.

Sunset.......again! we found a old bike so I decided to use it as a prop.

Early riser are you Russ? Smile I like the last shot. Silhouettes against sunsets are always cool. Smile
I like 1 and 3, with 3 being the better of the two to me Smile
Vote for 1 and 3, though I am looking at them through a laptop, so I can't "really" get a proper view of color etc. Nice shots!
Nice slant on the silouette theme.
Nice shots, Russt. I see something I like in #2 - the ground fog, but it is kind of lost in the distance - maybe a crop would improve it.

Example:

Ditto with #1: these are just sample crops - hundreds of others possible - some won't like the fact that I left dark shadowy trees in the periphery - just my twisted taste.

I love the sunlight through the fog in #1... it looks great! I bet it was spectacular to witness. I love those kinds of scenes. Smile

If only the circumstances were *slightly* different (thicker fog, less-dense background foliage, lower sun with some slight cloud-cover, perhaps a different lens or crop), I think that photo could have been absolutely stunning! But you get what you're given I guess, which is still lovely.

Same kind of thing with #2.. the fog and trees are great, but in order to expose for them you had to blow out the sky Sad Shame it wasn't a nice stormy, overcast day, with a grad filter fitted to your lens Smile I love the spacing of the trees though.
thanks all for your comments.

Peto I am always an early riser when I sleep on an air mattress Rolleyes

1 and 2 are a bit soft on the focus but i thought it added to the shots, the set up could always be better when I get home Wink

Toad thanks for the crop suggestions. I have tried a few with and without the tree in ? dunno!
Nice shots, I like the sun flare and mist in #1 and #2. Mist in the forest always looks eerie... Big Grin

With the sihlouette... I think it's good, but ... hmm... I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think the large shape of a person in the frame doesn't quite sit with me. Maybe because it's blocking out too much of the background. I'm trying to visualise maybe a smaller sihlouette (zoomed out) against the beautiful colours of the backdrop. Perhaps another idea is to have just the bike on its own?

Just my 2c... Big Grin
I really like the sunrise photo.
