Not so artistic but I like the wings.

Your pelicans have such better coloration than the boring Brown ones we get here in California.

They also have better colors than the seagulls we have here in Germany.

As ever with this type of shot I was a bit lucky, just happened to be standing there with my big lens on and off he went and click, click went I.

Nice one, Pete - very unusual angle, and you got it in flight.

Next time I am trying to take shots of pelicans in flight I will have to make sure that the DOF is a bit better, I was a little surprised that the far wing is out of focus but from memory I had it on sports mode on my Ds.
