The background was too cluttered so I contrasted it into oblivion...

Almost looks like fireworks. Very cool. Maybe do away with the lone bit of leaf and boost the stem a little so it is more visible. Just a suggestion. The lighting is great. I really like this. So simple.

Hmm I might try your suggestion. Actually I left the leaf on purpose, I felt sorry for the poor plant and thought I should let it keep at least one.

With the stem slightly showing it just adds to the look of fireworks.

Nice shot but my wife thinks there should have been three flowers. :/

I like it with that bit of leaf in. The photo needs a suggestion that these are live flowers not cut flowers on a piece of velvet.

Unusual treatment.. I wonder how it would look without the stems or leaves altogether?

The stems and no leaf works for me...good experimental technique.

I like Pete's wife's idea of 3 flowers.
