Now this is really enjoyable! Bikes and babes separated, I mean...
Beautiful shots, J! My faves are 3 and 4. Very dynamic.
Are there bikes in this thread?

The panning picture is fantastic!! All of them great pictures SJ

Wow! All so good!!!
She has a lot of black sand on her arm tho! hehe, very nice photographs.
Does that say Nikon on his leg?
Great shots J. Very crisp and clear.
love the panning shot! and also the shot of the 3 bikers. Looks very menacing!
Love the shot of the 3 bikes coming into the corner all together... nice fo them to wear 3 different colors

Looks like you've been busy J! The bike shots are magic - love the colour and clarity. You must have had a cracker of a day in terms of weather. Love the 2nd and 3rd bike shots...
I like the shot of the young girl in the lingerie. I'm not much into bikes.
heh long day at work , I read that as toad wanting to get into the young girl's lingerie. ( not that young to me)
Love the third bike shot, bit surprised you used a 400mm and AWB and your 300D though.

Doesn't look like it would fit me.

Hey SJ,
Love the panning in the first bike shot.. and the young lady on the beach looks familiar. Shame you didn't have somebody there to wipe the sand off her
And Peted, I can't necessarily speak for SJ... but for myself, as soon as I started shooting in RAW I switched the in-camera WB to Auto and haven't touched it since. Because you can non-destructively adjust the WB in the RAW image back on the PC, it becomes one less thing to worry about while shooting... I just let the camera guesstimate it, then I hand-tweak it back on the PC.
Of course, this approach only works when shooting in RAW mode - and on the rare occassions when I shoot JPG then I put some thought into the WB.
Cheers
Adrian
Thanks for all the feedback
Pete, pretty much what Adrian said, wb is left at auto most of the time when I'm shooting raw unless I'm doing studio stuff. 300 had the zoom on as it wasn't as critical for fps like when the bikes come very close and crash. Even sitting inside the fence line those bikes were still 100 odd metres away.
E-mail coming your way Adrian, forgot all about you

Nice shots - funny Adam, the "Nikon" on his leg was the first thing I noticed too
Are people still up for another Perth meet?
Cheers,
Brad
WOW what great bike shots, crystel clear.
