Yes, I assure you, that REALLY is the name of these two little villages, "Upper" and "Lower" Slaughter! :o
So, NN and I visited Lower Slaughter a week or so ago, when she, (NN), picked up an old guitar from a Fleabayer. That though, is her story.

Anyhow, here's a couple of Slaughter pics. I may post one or two more. It's quite a nice, and rather overlooked spot, (luckily!! Big Grin ).

Looks like a pretty little spot for a photo safari. Typical little English village by the looks of it and I'd love to be living in that waterside cottage in the second shot!

I like the little bridge in the first one. It looks very tranquil there. The reflections you got in the second one is great. Probably you took the picture from a bridge? The composition is great!
Thank you folks! Smile

Yes, the pic is taken from the only roadbridge in the village.
Interesting name.......I wonder if there is a story behind how the town it. :|
Fortunately your shots paint a much nicer picture of the town than does the name!
Like the composition on the first shot with the flowers in the foreground. It looks a quaint little village.
Nice area you documented. I bet there are dozens of photo ops there. Nice shots. Smile
I wouldn't want to be a farm animal living in that village... Big Grin

Looks very quaint and peaceful! Must be nice to visit in summer... Big Grin

Heaps man, heaps!!!
Really nice, looks like a really sweet spot.
A little patch of heaven.

The first image is my fav.

U didnt see any of them filthy hobbits now did you ?

Great shots Rufus. I particularly like the composition of #1.
Hehe, Paul is right, this looks as if a hobbit might come out of a door any moment. Smile

Very picturesque (Babylon helped me finding this word). Have you tried what would happen if you applied a watercolor effect? Or Isabel's Pastel Sketch action? This might be just the right subject for that...
Well, many thank yous folks.
Here's another, and as suggested a variant too..... Big Grin

And the variant

Hey I like the variant! Very punchy, bright colours and the texture effect is great!
