I'm off work for the rest of the week and the weather is nice, so we've been out to Travemuende again. I filled up my card, so prepare for some pictures of boats, seagulls and general port impressions...

Approx. 50 cm long. I quite like the reflections on the water, too.

Duckling

A delightful series on a hot summer day! Makes me feel like I'm there.

Flying Seagulls

They are so much easier to capture than swallows.

Seat Release

They are natural clowns. The one in the background pushed the other one from it's seat.

Wings

I just can't get enough of these. Wish I could fly, too!

Jellyfish

As I will have a new camera soon, I checked out the underwater capabilities of my D70.



Just kidding. The water was amazingly clean, so the D70 stayed dry.

Splash

This duck lady seemed to have a good time too.

Aha, Guerito, I found your ducks! Great series of photos, but my favourite has to be the little duckling....just so cute! I love the way his down shows up - he looks so soft and cuddly. Great capture on some of those gulls too.

Great series of photos, I am envious.

It is winter here and has been a bit wet for the last week or so and the photo opportunities have not been so good.

Another great series - you guys seem to be able to capture the essence of a place very well, and the interesting details as well.

These are all super shots! wonderful selection of boats, birds and portrayal of the general environment and atmosphere of the place.

I particularly like the jellyfish. I've never seen a jellyfish that close and so I'm fascinated by the details.

Nice name on that boat too

Here is another one I'd like to share... The reflection on the water is a little color enhanced, but I swear it was red in the original already.

And a seagull portrait, from rather close. This guy was really cool, I sat down near to him and he didn't bother to take notice. He gave the impression of a wise old bird that has seen a lot more of the world than I.

Jellyfish.......flying gulls ...........willie butt.........the sub.........too many to choose, the ducks in red water. Thumbs up!!!!!!!! G

What settings did you use to capture the Jellyfish? if you don't mine.....
