Using your new camera and lens? Amazing how big you can get it... my moons never fill up more than a tenth of the frame...
Not sure if it's my monitor but I see very subtle blue and black splotches in the dark areas - maybe it's just the exposure compensation.

I had my save-for-web quality setting at 28%, but correcting this doesn't seem to help. Maybe the noise reduction?
The shot was taken on a monopod, 100-400mm at 400mm, f5.6, 1/125sec, ISO 800, filtered and sharpened with neat image.

It's a great moon shot because the sky is blue. I don't think it would be too dificult to replace the blue sky rather than try to repair it.

Why did you use ISO 800, I would have thought you would want to use your cameras lowest setting but I guess you would have had to have dropped the shutter speed or lowered the apperture setting and that would not be desirable either. So many settings, so little time.
