I don't know if any of you have seen this site, some interesting retouching but for me I think a lot of it is rather extreme.

Hmm. He certainly works hard on these photos. Some of his retouching is really excellent. In some cases,the skin looks a little plastic - but maybe that is appropriate.

I would not have had the nerve to do some of the "enlargements" that he does though.

Some of the retouches are a little extreme, but I am sure they would work great for magazines or album covers.

I prefer a more natural look for humnas usually! Very nice work though.

LOL, I remember seeing one of his covers at the supermarket checkout, and thinking "what an amateurish retouch job! Can't believe that's on a magazine cover!" And yet, there it was ...

Images have that "over done" look to them, however it may be what the client is after. Some of them do look slightly cringe-worthy I must say!

I agree that alot of them look way over done. Personally though I like to do as much retouching as I can get away without it looking like it was retouched.
There was one photo in there that I thought was completely ameture looking. I had similar results when first learning PS

Looking through the site a bit more I see that his work has been used on many front covers of glossy mags. Also, has anyone else noticed that American retouching and European / Australian retouching seem to have different styles? Perhaps it is just the sites I have come accross?
