(again, hope I've mastered the uploading thing here)
Ct. Cyr's church in my village, shot on a sunny evening around 8.00pm with a tad of sky cropped(didn't have my grad); polariser; 16mm at f16.

Hey Zig... put the [ img ] [ /img ] tags around the img URL if you want it to show automatically.... Big Grin

Nice pic! Good perspective and I like th castle in the background...
Ah: thank you!
Oh, er,..shucks: the Canon's resolving power can't be all that good; that's not a castle but a church. It's probably got 3 Anglicans in including the vicar apart from at funerals; same old story of institutional decline, sadly. It's a little strange that at such services there is a reverence/mystery that is lacking at more trendy, "in the giftings", more "spirit-filled" churches.
Of course, such new churches easily confuse emotion with Spirit; their buildings tend to look like badly-designed photocopiers.
Oh yes, back to topic: at 10mm that church vanishes another 25 miles up the road, whilst the shot manages to include the smile of a beetle as it perches on the lens rim.
Not really, just in a talkative mood this morning.
