Still working on the cogency of my re-sizing, but here goes: f11. Note (developed in another thread by Kombi I think) effect of polariser bringing shutter speed down to around 10 secs. [If I were to reshoot this, I'd roll the pol off a bit so as to get a bit more silky sheen on water surface.]

This is excellent. Maybe its my monotor but I do find it a tad dark and I"m a stickler for tilts. I think its a little tilted but it's still an amazing shot.
Wow lovely! The grain and texture of the deadwood is beautiful, as with the rocks in the background.

The water has turned out fantastic too - looks almost like a shaft of light!

5 out of 5 wooden doorstops!
Keep it up Zig. One day you'll be as good as me! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
Peto, to tell you the truth, the track of the waterfall was actually sidewaysy every second or so, and was conscious of its divergent path down, which is why I wanted to use the feature as "fake" light beam. I did a shot or 2 to counter this, but then put the surface of the water at a tilt, which looked tripe, and equally loathsome to me too.
There is no tilt in my shot buddy! Mind you, the camera is a mere 2 feet from the water and it is a wide lens.
Yep, I do like the dark and moody, your monny is definitely OK! I reckon this is a hangover from my darkroom days where I both always wanted black blacks and white whites..and always felt i was getting my money's worth from the chemicals[didn't we all].
I tend to try and burn out anything too distracting also.
(my apologies Peto; this reads more prickly than I mean! Am indeed very grateful for your sharp eyes!)
No worries Zig. No apologies necessary. I can imaging this as a 20x30. Very Ansel Adams I might say.
I admire the composition in your picture Zig... I like it Smile The place looks lovely...
It looks really sharp..too sharp? maybe its me...i agree with petographer, i think id love it at 20x30
Ta spiff; yeah, am still feeling my way in with the order of the post-processing stuff and getting size right for web..must get this one away to be printed!
