OK folks....just been testing my new scanner on some VERY old slides, so here he is....the original Noisy Noodle, whose name I stole! Apart from being very noisy he was also an extremely intelligent cat as can be seen here where he's shown reading the newspaper at only 12 weeks of age!

This is his sister, Fouey at about 9 months old:

And just to prove that dogs and cats CAN get on well, here's my beagle Velvet with Noodle, Fouey and one of the other cats we had at the time, Bilbo:

Look at the size of his ears! Big Grin
Yes, they both had HUGE ears when they were kittens. I think they were born with thir ears already at adult size. They kind of "grew into them" as they got older Big Grin Big Grin
Is that what happened with Prince Charles only his ears forgot that they were already fully grown?

Tres cute Smile
LOVE the last shot. Mind you, I am a pet owner through and through. I'd have a hundred dogs if I could.
aww, I love beagles!! I want one!
Yes, beagles are great. The only problem is that you never own a beagle, they always own you! I saved up my pocket money to buy Velvet when I was 13, and she was my best friend from the moment I first saw her until I married Rufus, and my second best friend until she died in 1985. Here's another scan of an old slide:

Awwww... .how cute! NN looks thin as a noodle... is that where the name came from? Big Grin

No...actually the breeder we bought the kittens from named all members of the litter after different foods because she'd previously owned a restaurant. I can't remember all the names, but our two were actually registered as Burdach (Burdach being the prefix used by the breeder) Noodles and Pain-Fou. (Pain-Fou is French for fool's bread, which I know as gipsy toast - bread soaked in beaten eggs and fried). One of their brothers was named Crackers. We thought about renaming them, but never got beyond slightly altering them to Noodle (without the 's') and Fouey. Being oriental cats they were typically very vocal - more so than most, and due to his being the noisiest cat I've ever met, Noodle rapidly became noisy Noodle!

*melting heart*
Velvet is a beautiful name for her too!
Is that a cat or a bat! I've seen fennec foxes with smaller lug'oles than that!

Admittedly, not round these parts...
Love beagles, have tons of character and heart to match.

Just for you Zig - more bat-eared kittens:

Wow... unusual!

I have to take some snaps of my neighbours cats... they've got two and they roam all over our garden and front yard like they own the place... Big Grin

Good thing they don't have a habit of sittng on top my car like other cats usually do.... Big Grin
These are really cute shots! With these ears, I assume they couldn't run very fast without taking off... Big Grin

BTW your new scanner seems to work quite well.
