I had to wait for my dad to come home - so while waiting I decided to take some macros of the flowers in his garden.

The lens used was a 24-70 2.8 L plus an extension tube on all three shots - hand held with available light.

The Rose was shot at ISO 640 and the other two at ISO 1250.

Thanks for looking.
Beautiful all of them... The last one my favorite Smile Very nice composition and colors.
That answers my enquiry about noise at higher ISOs anyway! Nicely exposed. I would comment on sharpness but after a look at your comment on the site I reckon it's the resize/sharpen thingy rather than anything in camera.
As an afterthought, this camera really reveals one's technique in the raw, do you find?
(I remember all the stuff i used to think was ace on 35mm, then went to medium-format and really had to tidy my act up!)
Thanks Irma.

Zig - You do need to slow down. One thing I noticed with some pictures I took of my family is if you really nail it you will be blown away.

And the sharpness thing - original files are sweet.
Slowing down as requested. Glad you perceive my needs there.
Hey Zig - I meant that I need to slow down when I am at a wedding - sorry for being confusing.

Cheers,

Chris
