Hey just ran across this cool little utility from Microsoft:

It basically keeps folders in sync, and even tracks renames (other utilities will usually do a delete and add for renamed files). I imagine that it would be useful for keeping computers in sync, or doing backups of specific folders.

It's free too, so I can't complain...

I've been using SyncToy for a little while for syncing local and network folders at work... it's pretty cool... You can do a lot of filtering so that it only does what is has to.

I tend to use the 'Contribute' mode most often and I always 'Preview' first... mostly because I'm paranoid and it is, after all, a Microsoft product...
