Wow, nice saturated colours!
About the flower...
I have found that when you have a flower with black backgound looks gorgeous if you have it all sharp and showing off all the detail (texture or veins in the petals, stamens) I know this is part of each one's style... but in this case I personaly find more interesting to have the detail closer than in the background... Also I find the shadows in the foreground petals a bit distracting...
About the bottle... my eye is stuck in the highlight area... and I find nothing else interesting to look at... Sorry, Christian.. But as I can see that you have a bit of a reflection... I was thinking that it would be nice trying to work with reflections on that bottle... its color is great, btw...

Hi Byrt,
Nice colours.....are you sure it's an *istD and not a DS or DL?

Only my D feels very solid, but I know the DS and DL are more plasticky feeling

hi
thanks for the comments, much appreciated.
i was too intereted in shooting anything with this camera, i was a bit careless and not looking for for details. i will reshoot the bottle with some proper lighting and see what comes out.
uuuhmmm the camera is a pentax istd S, lens sigma 18-125mm f3.5-56 as i say is not my and i have to show how it works and teach a bit of photography.
