...but how did they do on the Talent competition?

Very nice images. The lighting is fantastic. I'm guessing natural light with a reflector to fill the shadows, but the catchlight has me stumped. Very subtle on-camera flash, or studio lighting...? And, was #3 taken indoors or out?

I have no experience with studio lighting or photography, but the techniques fascinate me.

Wonderful images as always when it involves a young lady

The first one is lit from the side with studio lighting and a barn door angled to the right to control spill on the left side of the image.

2nd one was taken in the shadows of the overhang of the hotel but it was really quite bright outside.

3rd shot was taken with studio again, just straight through a white umbrella.

Unfortunately there wasn't room to bring in anymore lights!

That was from the wildcard event to pick one girl from WA to go into the final. The girl who was chosen was this girl...
