Hi Kerridwyn

I'm afraid I don't have time to critique all the photos you've posted, so I just took a quick look at your portraits which is where my interest lies.
I like 'Lost in transit' and 'Life's contemplations' both are fantastic characters whom you've captured well.

Something I notice in both 'hard night' and 'old codger' is that the eyes are in shadow. To me when you take a photo of someones face, generally the eyes are the first thing you look for, so I think it is most important to get detail and life in the eyes.

Thanks for sharing these, I will try to get back and check out the rest when I can.
Wow, quite a selection of quality shots you've posted up. I like your flora and fauna shots the best - personal preference - but you portray nature beautifully.

Some personal favourites - "Abundance" - wow, the DOF and blurring is just spot on...

Dragonfly - wow!

Sunning pelican - absolutely stunning composition mate - and the backlighting - gorgeous...

I dunno, but to me, ones such as "Pretty and Pink" and "Blue Moon" are a bit of a contrast to the others, in that they look a bit "dirty" and lack the smoothness / sharpness / polish of the others. Dunno how well they would fit in a professional portfolio...

Just my 2c... anyway, do let us know how you get on with the resume / portfolio.. Big Grin

Pretty in Pink and Blue Moon have been taken with the old Minolta Camera which is why there is a difference in the quality of the photo
