Sadly, I can only say that I've read one of them - 1984 by George Orwell -- only because it was one our texts in year 10 english. I guess I'm not much of a geek then! Big Grin

Anyone read anything else? Favourite geek novels?
I've read a few. Not enough to classify as a geek though. The Colour of Magic -- Terry Pratchett is a classic. His whole Discworld series crack me up. A very very funny author.

Oh man!! I've read 11 of them (13 if you consider the Illuminatus trilogy as 3 books).

I can whole-heartedly recommend Cryptonomicon (#13) which is the best novel I've read in years - and despite all evidence to the contrary - I don't consider myself a geek.

It is 600+ pages and a treat from start to finish. Truly a gem.
Geek! Hehe, at least I know what to put on my shopping list this christmas... Big Grin
