Ok; This is my first image I post here, I hope it shows up and it is not too large. Enjoy!

hi
niiice greys...looks very cooooold
uuhmmm those steps on the right a just a bit distracting, maybe a crop?
thanks for posting
christian
Beautiful picture... It looks like a beautiful place... Is this a park?
Beautiful photo John. Good idea getting the shot in the shade as you did.
brrr, very nice. Looks like a winter wonderland (i imagine!)
Hi John, and welcome!
I like the image very much - there's a lot of interesting bits in the scene, especially with the snow capped trees. The bridge in the background is a nice touch.
I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of cropping the bottom bit out - I think there's a lot of dead space there, which if removed, I feel makes for a stronger picture.
What do you think?
Looks good either way to me!

Thanx for commenting, I had more to share, but wasn't sure how many pictures I can post in one thread and what is the max size?!
John
That allowed file size is 150kbs. I always try to keep mine around 120 as other forums (not that I visit too many others

) only allow 120kbs. I see yours is 800x526. Not too bad but it might be better to keep your images at a maximum of 600px to 640px wide for better viewing without scrolling the page.
Beautiful color. You captured the slanting sunlight perfectly.
Thanx, I have a few more to share if that is within the rules in one thread, or I have to start a new one?

Hey John, we're pretty easy around here... so post as much as you want. If it's sorta related (i.e. same scene or topic), then by all means, keep posting them in the same thread. Otherwise, start a new one.
Cheers,
Jules
Ok, Thanx Jules. I have a few small bird shots I will post in a new thread and than I'll add some more to this one!

Nice shot, I think I would prefer a slightly less drastic crop, leaving more of the foreground from the original

Keep shooting!
Thanx Bob for the coments.
Ok, Here is one more from the same place:

Great work on these keeping the snow nice and detailed. I love snow, in fact I may just drive to the mountains for a fix on Thursday.

Me too Craig. Sounds like a plan. The mountains here are doing very well for the skiers this year.
Cool! I think the footsteps add a nice touch in the 2nd one...
I wish we had snow like that over here... to see snow we have to run to the mountains...

Thanx guys, When taking this second shot, I was standing under that bridge you see on the first photo!
Love the leading lines in the second shot, nice composition

Thank you for your kind comments!
