They are fine, but the bushes are in the way. If I tried with my 3x zoom they would be as big as flies.

#3 does it for me! The focal point is obviously the face, and this is the only one where it's not obscured by shadow or bushes. Everything's nice and sharp, and I like your composition too!
Are they skittish? How far away from the deer were you?

I have been very close to them ( with out a camera ) and once they catch wind ( or site ) of you poof they are gone . Or they get so scarred they freeze .

Thank you for the comments and feedback. Most of my animal shots are taken in the wild, not in captivity, which makes it so much more difficult. Especially with deer. They jump and run away at the slightest smell or noise they sense and get paranoid when seeing humans.
