Something a bit different. The whole time I was in New York, this Graphic Novel concept was rolling around in my brain. This is a first attempt at getting the concept down on paper (so to speak).

Very cool. Excellent work. I really like the processing.
I like it a lot too... The post processing is great! Lots of detail and the silhouette looks fantastic Smile
What have you added to the original? :/
Wow! This is very impressive, Toad. It makes me wish for a larger format to explore the details... Excellent picture!

This is a composite of several original images. The post processing is applied to the entire image after compositing for unity reasons - and to strengthen the comic book style of the classic Graphic Novel. I am happy that people like this because it is pretty conceptual at this point.

Any fans of graphic novels out there?
Wow, this is really amazing, Mr. T! I love it!

It's so much more stylish than a collage... and yes, emphasis on the word stylish.

It really brings together elements from different images and makes a wonderful landscape.

Execllent! Big Grin
Sensational Toad, I love the concept..........well put together, very interesting. When I first saw it I was reminded of the Max Payne vid game. Gritty NY! I think you nailed what you were trying for!
Excellent!

Max Payne was an influence for sure - also Sin City to name a couple.
I like it , its not what i thought i would see from you Toad ( not in a bad way ). This is very different to me . Great job.

Looks cool, now you'll have to come up with some text

I can see the guy doesn't really belong stood on the roof, but all the other buildings and possibly even the round things (x) could be part of reality. I have been to some pretty weird places in my lifetime.
(x) Reminds me of the tin mans head in Wizard of Oz.
Beautiful and subtle. Well done.
Great work, care to shre the processing technique?

Other than the compositing, the "look" is surprisingly simple. There are a few little things as well, but the main thing is as follows:

1. Duplicate the background layer (compositing already flattened)
2. Filters->Sketch->Stamp to the new layer
3. Fade back to about 66% to let the color show through.

That's just about it. I knew as soon as I tried it that it was the look I was seeking.
Well to come a bit late in the game, but for what its worth.Cool

Excellent! just Excellent!

Its something in this image, cant exactly put my finger on it, all i know is that my eyes love it!

Been looking at some of your NY shots, i really like them, great processing. This one is a winner in my book!

Great job and thanx for sharing it.
