i walked out of work the other evening , and saw this . I drive about 20 miles a day to and from work, and had to stop about 5 times and try to get some pictures of the sky . Didnt get much from the shots ( too much in the way ) . But i thought that i would share at least one with yall.





please tell me what you think about it .

thanks for posting you shot

i like the contrast and light, but the compositon i would like to have more of the main light to the top and less black coulds.something like this, becuase there is not much to see on top and also the very strong light from the sun is in the middle.

Great capture Drake. It would even be better with a sihlouette in the foreground.

Really nice... I love the sun rays streaming down...

I agree with Christian regarding too much black at the top, but that's fixable with a crop.

If you could also bring out the contrast between the clouds in the middle and far distance as well, I think it would give a real sense of depth and perspective.

I actually prefer your original crop, not sure why. Perhaps its just because I don't tend to crop my photos square very much.

The noise bother's me a little, but I'm sure there are others out there who like it.
Overall, i think it is quite good, but as Toad said, with a silhouette, or something extra in the photo, it would really pop

Schellamo , the noise in the shot is from the scan . i tried something new when i resized it and i think i took it too far LOL. Its not on the print . And yea i love to see the sun rays , and i finnally had the camera to shoot it . I was standing in the bed of my truck while i was shooting this one .....
