There has been some talk about the FujiFilm Camera firmware containg reminants of the Millenium bug (Y2K/Year 2000 Bug) over at the DPReivew forums. This bug can cause the camera to die after a set life time, in most reported cases this has been two years.

Only way around that is to grease the palm of the shop owner, this will get you another 2 years.

Just read the thread... looks like they're talking about older models (2400, 4900).. hopefully our S5000's aren't affected.
