Just a few more shots that didn't fit into the other categories but I hope you'll find interesting.

1. Campfire Sparks.

2. The obligatory flower shot. Wink

3. I'm not sure how others will regard this shot, but I think it really seems to suit Rolf (who is a character to say the least). That's his hanglider on the roof-rack of his car behind him.

4. A visitor we had in the camp.

Thanks for looking. Sorry for bombarding you with so many photos in this series!
My favourites here have to be the lone flower in the sand and the lizard.

Great series from beginning to end...and it looks like it was a lot of fun, too Big Grin
#2 & #4 like NN would be my picks but I do like #3 with the angle background and in your face........ face Big Grin

From part 1 through to part 4.........well done
Great series Adrian. Supurb picture quality as well. Smile
The colours you get in all your photos are just amazing! Whats your secret??
Thanks again.. It was a great trip and I had a ball thanks NN Smile

Peto, I'm glad you noticed the picture quality. As much as I would like to take credit for this, I don't think I can. I've simply never seen my gear perform as well as it did during this trip. It was quite remarkable. To give you an example, when looking at the last shot in the "toys" thread of the quad bike on the dune I assumed I'd taken it with my EF 70-200 f/4L (which I used a lot on the weekend) based on the image quality... but when I looked at the EXIF data I saw I'd used my EF-S 17-85 IS!!! That's quite a mistake to make, and a big compliment to pay to the 17-85! Big Grin There were similar nice suprises all weekend with all my gear.
I think the great performance probably comes down to the very bright conditions most of the time and high contrast of pretty much anything against the sand. The camera had no problems autofocusing as long as there was an object to focus on, and it was easy to keep shutter speeds high while still using a polariser.

And Schell, I don't think I have a secret. If I do though, it is perhaps the worst-kept secret on the internet, because for the most part all I do to tweak colour is to very carefully manipulate tone curves.
great pics
These four are all great Kombi - 2 is my favourite. It really brings out the guy's personality.
Another truely inspirational series Adrian. I spent alot of time taking in every one of the images in this series.
It is a credit to you for capturing these images AND then taking the time to share them. Thank you.
