Don i really like this photo, the sign in the foreground and the road going for the horizon. Compisition works really well. Great work.
Did you use your stick to get this shot ?

I did use my stick. I find it very useful as a monopod, boom (like this) and a stout walking stick. It's my constant companion.
If the camera is mounted to the rubber bumper, do you ever forget and smash it on the floor.
There are two rubber bumpers--the one with the tripod screw is on the top. The rubber bumber holds it on. I am careful with it but the risk is small.
