finally after 12 months of research (no funds)
I picked up a new lens to replace my kit lens as my walk-around general purpose type lens.
I only picked it up yesterday so I have not had much change to play yet but here are a couple quick ones.

Russt - the lens seems to produce nice colour and contrast. Nice and sharp too. Seems like your research has paid off.
yeah I am so far pretty happy WS, these are the first few I am sure given time I should be able to get some good shots from this lens. The build is good, has a solid feel. The AF is fast compared to my kit lens and the 50 1.8
The last shot is at f2.8 where this lens is at its softest........I think it will still produce some usable shots, as far as my standards go anyway. The range was more important to me than the constant aperture for this one and I have the backup of the 50 1.8. It looks like the IQ will live up to the research.

Nice and sharp - good contrast - #3 is a great shot as well.
