I wanted to share some snaps from our visit to the Royal Show which is on in Adelaide at the moment.
This year for something different we went in the late afternoon / night time to see the main attractions.
Our three young children surprised us and behaved really well allowing us to stay alot longer than previous years.

First - The rides and sideshows.

Then the animals (this one my favourite of the day)

My kids actually enjoyed spending time with the firefighters and ambulance paramedics more than the rides.

Then to the main oval...awaiting the action...

And the madmen of motocross...

We stayed for the fireworks but didn't even attempt an shots. The kids are already making sure we take them again next year......
Mate, these pics are gems! I especially love the first one - great composition and colour...
I love these - number 1 is fantastic. It really is an exciting shot, full of the colour and fun of the day. Well captured.
Looks to have been a fun day for all except maybe the dog Big Grin great pics
They are all better than that. Tricky light, high speed, dark. Great stuff.
Interesting series taken in tricky circumstances. The dog shot is a real winner as well!
Love them all , Looks like a great time . Hard shooting but you pulled it of very well !!

.......... Shawn
Thanks for all the comments.

To be honest about half of the shots taken from the action on the oval were too blurry to be useful. I had the lens wide open and the ISO cranked up to 1600 but it was just not enough light, the action was too fast and we were too far away (lens at 300mm). I still had alot of fun trying.....
