g'day all, a few pics from the Glenrock state rec area.........this is about 5 mins from my home. We had a lot of rain about a week ago I found a couple of places in the park that I had not been to before. The creeks were running and looked good.
I don't think the shots came out as well as I had hoped and the resize does not help (excuses

)

thanks for looking
C&C welcome
Wonderful place!!!
Very beautiful pictures.. my fav is #2 I love the effect you have in the falling water and the composition

I have to agree with Irma , # 2 is my fav too . I really like the colors in all of them . Nice job !!!

While I also like the water flow in #2. The third one is my favourite. The DOF makes the log look so long and interesting with differring textures of moss, grass and splitting wood. Very good composition.
Thanks Irma, BD and Smarti for you comments..........
It was not easy to get the shots that do the place justice.........
The first shot looks much better in a large size........I now see another composition and would choose a slower speed for the water. The flow in different parts makes you keep thinking
cheers
What a lovely spot! #2 and #3 are my favourites...
Oh! I just saw "C&C welcome"
I also like the composition in #3 and it would have been my favorite as well, if the log were in focus in the foreground... That way you give richness of textures and colors in the foreground and a great bokeh in the background... and very nice depth in your composition...
As it is now... the focus point is too far from my view and doesn't give me much information... not too much detail, texture and color...
Hope you don't find this too unfriendly... but it is what I think... Still I might be wrong...

Hi Russ - never been to Glenrock, after seeing those great images will put it down as a place to visit

Great shots Russ, looks like a very peaceful place.
My favourite is #3, closed followed by #2.
Thanx for sharing.

Pat, you should get down there, lots of good walks.

Irma, not at all ........ thanks for your thoughts, I value your opinion. As soon as I saw the grass growing out of the log I thought thats the subject but I can see what you are saying........I might go down there again one day after rain and see what I can come up with.
Lovely, it looks like a fun place to experiment with. I like nos 2 and 3 best, but as irma says, the focus is a little bit too far away.
Thanks for sharing
cheers Schell..........
