Very nice work. Been trying a little bit of portrait work myself and it takes a good eye, you have it and it is going to take me a long time to catch up.

Russ, yes, I still find it hard to beleive that people are willing to pay me to do this- its too much fun to be work!!

Irma, thanks, I have recently started using a new B&W method which I like alot.
I'll try to find the instructions I jotted down, if my hubby hasn't chucked them out, or I'll post the action perhaps.

It basically entails adding a colour burn layer at about 10% opacity, using the channel mixer with mostly green, then red and not much blue and a hue saturation layer that is a nice warm browny colour.
Photo #3 was using mitch's B&W conversion, and 4 & 5 is using this new one.
