I have lived in Yateley for over five years now and have said every week without fail that "I will go to the camera club next Wednesday".
And without fail I have always ended up doing something else or just sitting in front of the TV.

So, two weeks ago I took a deep breath and decided to actually attend.

Well I could not have asked for a friendlier welcome, I felt very comfortable and at ease straight away.

So after 2 weeks I find that I have scored 9/10 in the first stage of the General internal competiton and am searching for locations to photograph
for the Themed competition due to be judged in the next 2 weeks.

Why didn't I go earlier?

The best decision I've made in years.

So my advice to you if you're feeling a little nervous is JUST GO FOR IT!

Good on you! just wish there was a Camera Club where I live, unfortunately the nearest are at Newcastle a 75km drive. Have thought of starting a group but hesitate because of problems such as insurance and rent for a meeting venue.

Pat, I know how you feel about having to travel so far, so about two months ago our church started a get together of 'shutterbugs' we meet on the last Monday of the month at Mallabula, I know it would still be a bit of a drive, but not as far as Newcastle.
