This was taken in a bird sanctuary in Marlow... It is located at the north part of Germany in a region called Mecklenburg-Vorpommern... It has many wildlife parks and nature reserves... It is already in my list of places to visit next year... Smile

A little problem here with the beak, since it is not very sharp, but the eye does... Smile

This was taken in the lake...

Hi Irma - great shots, the top bird is the Australian Rainbow Lorikeet, looking out of my window right now can see 4 of them feeding themselves at our birdfeeder, have one pair who will eat from my hand.
Love the water on the duck!
Thanks a lot for your comments Pat, Schell... Smile

Pat, you are really lucky to have them so close to you... I loved them from the first time I came into the cage, they were so sweet those little ones... asking for food all the time... as they sell some nectar to feed them, they remain close to the entry door... so when they see that you bring the little bottle to feed them they fly towards you and perch from your arms, shoulders... any part they can... Smile really very sweet birdies...
Both are great Irma, I like the duck with the water still on it's head.
Love these Irma,

The DOF on the Lorikeet is very nice (as mentioned by yourself not quite perfect - but I like it still).
Your ability to focus on the eyes is amazing! Don't worry about the beak in the first picture - the eye is what you want, and what you got! Big Grin
great shots Irma........like the water on the duck

as Mitch said the focus is spot on the eye of the lorikeet

nicely done
Thanks so much for your comments Smile

I have to say that G has helped me a lot..
Lovely bird shots Irma.

#1 Really nice dof placement, you nailed it. great job!

#2 Personally its a little bit to tight cropped/framed for me, but the lightning is great and the water droplets really adds to the picture.
