googled and found this great tutorial on editing some photos but does anyone know what this means here. i cannot find the icon...am i thick ihave adobe photoshop cs version 8.0

Drag the red channel to the new document icon which is located at the bottom of the pallet third from the left

Hey Ogilberry - I realise this thread went unanswered, and I apologise on behalf of the community for that.

I believe the "new document icon" refers to the third of those small little icons literally on the very bottom right of the picture. It should be a matter of clicking on the "red copy", holding and dragging it over the little icon.

Hope that helps! How did you go with the tutorial anyway? If possible, show us some results!
