These are three images which I once printed and framed as gifts. Has anybody else experimented with this? It's possible to put any verse on any picture, and especially with knowledge of photoshop's "drop shadow" tools, you can make them look very pleasant and calming... They make absolutely great wedding gifts for new couples in your church, or for any other occasion...

Now that is certainly first class artwork. Awesome stuff matt!

My dad is into framing as well (took a framing course) , and yes, they do make excellent gifts (or just to hang on the wall Big Grin)
Hey Matt! Great to see you again, and super work.
Excellent, tasteful, thoughtful.

Oh, I'm coming over all furry!! :o

Thanks all! Shuttertalk, I'm interested in this "framing course" you spoke of. Where could I take one? I just feel so much more complete in giving / selling framed photos instead of straight prints, and I'd be really interested in any sort of knowledgable advantage I might gain from a course like that... Anyways, just a query. Thanks!

Hey Matt,

My dad just did a short course at one of our colleges -- not sure if they have the same over there, but over here they offer arts and crafts courses that are pretty affordable...

It sounded pretty interesting - they teach you how to cut the mats and stuff like that. They do make very good personalised gifts IMHO...
Nice one Matt! I'm always thinking of what to get people on their birthdays while wondering how I could make my budget stretch that bit further. Now I know.... Big Grin
Well and also, you have the advantage of sentiment to your advantage. I could pay 99 cents for a 5x7 and four bucks for a frame, and if it's a picture of the two newlyweds, or of their old cat or dog or toad or lizard, or in this case a bible verse of impact, it will be a present that they cherish far more than the thousand dollar bedsheets. Well I'm sure I'd appreciate nice sheets, but you get my point, right?

Yes, I do Matt. To quote the Mastercard ad... some things, money just can't buy... I'm with you - I'd rather get a framed picture that means something, and came from the heart of the giver rather than expensive bedlinen...

But if you're talking guitars, then it's a different matter... Tongue
