One of the many towers in Luebeck. I took this picture many months ago. I kept it because I knew one day I wouldn't be lazy and I would work a HDR image. I had a lazy day during the weekend and I worked with this picture. The intention here blending different exposure was to get detail in the shady areas since the picture was taken at midday and the contrast was hard.

With my HDR image I worked adding some noise and trying to mute the colors a bit, get some detail in the sky, and color in the trees. I remember it was November that is why the trees are a bit leafless.

Picture taken with my D70.
It is a beautiful picture Irma.
My only reservation is the roof of the highest building, because of the light on it, appears to be pasted on.
Maybe because of the dark tiles on the edges of the roof. But maybe it looks like that anyway.Smile
Yes NT, the roof in the original picture was like this, very bright.
I am happy you liked it.

I do love this stuff! This is great, Irma...a real sense of otherworldliness(sorry for the long word!) in the lighting and the HDR works very well to get that full range of tones that a normal exposure might not. Lovely!
I might have cropped a little, to avoid the distractions at bottom left?

...nope....I've ruined the composition here, ignore me!
beautiful Irma!

I think Zig's crop wasn't ideal, but just like him I feel distracted, mainly by the darkness of the bottom left part. how about cropping from the left, to about an 8x12?

BTW, can you show more pics from Germany's north? I am homesick these days and really enjoy seeing your pics.

Thanks Zig for your try... Smile
Honestly I didn't see the black spot as a distraction, I was more keen on having the trees with color and light... I might do something there and get detail not to be so dark, so don't take your eye... Smile

Thanks Uli!
About pictures...I will look for something nice, but if I can't find anything, I promise to take more pictures and visit nice places to post for you... Smile

Meanwhite I leave you here a dandelion.... The fields are already full of them ... Wink

Lovely photo. I would have darkened the place where Zug cropped.
The dandelion image is so beautiful Irma.
Hi Irma. I feel that the first image needs to be straightened slightly. Beyond that, it is technically sound, but doesn't grab me much. Sorry to be harsh - many of my own photos don't grab me either - but I am still proud of them.
Thanks Don, for your comment, that is also another possibility... Smile

Chris, I also like the dandelion picture. I think it turned out nicely because of the white against the dark background and bokeh...
Thanks for your comment... Smile

Toad, no need to be sorry, I appreciate a lot your honesty... Smile

To me it is better to know that my picture doesn't work than to be ignored.

Thanks, I will check and straighten the picture... Smile
