Shot this Black Crowned Night Heron today at the lake, minutes later it started raining like crazy and I got soaking wet, but it was worth it!

What an odd looking bird -- it looks like it's better equipped to walk than fly.

They're all very nice photos, but I can't decide on the pose between #1 and #2 for a favourite. Probably #2 for the attitude.

Shawn, try wondering around lakes / swamps. You'd be surprised what you'll see!
