Well, here's my first photo upload for this site. Clearly, it's my cat Mahershalalhashbaz (seriously!) sleeping on chair.


It's a little grainy due to high ISO used, and deliberately underexposed, because well lit doesn't really convey "sleeping". Anyway, what do you think?

Weel you got all his hair and whiskers, but lose a lot of detail in the shadows.

I like your photo; you have an idea of what you want to achieve and create the photo to suit it. I like that you've taken a common scene and recorded the atmosphere, not the fact. The whole photo feels positively languid, perfect for a resting cat.
