Interesting shot... not sure if it's my monitor (using Laptop LCD) but I can't quite make out the detail of the men and the house. Looks really dark to me..

I think he's going for a silhouette (sp?) effect... Is that right Don? Is the extra brightness around the rafters an actual effect of the light or is it photoshop residue?

I think a tighter crop might be a suggestion, perhaps just above that clump of cloud in the middle. Just my .02

They are in shadow. This is a detail of a 3.2 meg photo. I used a underpainting type filter to get rid of artifacts. The filter gave it a smooth finish I liked.
