I'm shooting this kind of pictures every year, I just can't resist. This year's difference is that I took them with a point and shoot (G9).

Absolutely beautiful.. especially the bee shot. For us, our flowers are dropping off and we're heading into winter...

Indeed; "refreshing" is just the right word. I remember once crawling around with tripod, Pentax 67 and a foot-long telephoto, spot-metering, adding filters, etc; the person with me went "click" with a cheap P+S, and turned out a brilliant picture, whilst mine was flat and poor. Whatever tool it takes for the job really, definitely.
