A "before" and "after"......

This is my complete recording/gigging toolkit, built up over the years and only assembled for the "family snapshot" a night or two ago.

1. I shot them in roomlight during the day with the home tungsten lights on, correcting somewhat in the conversion stage. Here's the original: through the wide end of the 16-35, tripod-mounted:
2. As the exposure was about 8 seconds, I was able to take a bogstandard angle-poise lamp and wave it about to get rid of some shadows. Oh sorry, "painted with light"....Rolleyes

2. Basically, it was then a matter of getting rid of all extraneous detail with a black brush and extending the canvas size, using the blur tool to get rid of sharp edges. I know there is certainly a cleverer way to do this but I couldn't be bothered to find out.

3. I then imported another pic of moi, erased some detail, adding text as different layers.
