Marvelous 1st one: viewpoint, composition, aperture all spot on: the composition invites the viewer in yet at the same time the attitude of the people suggest(pictorially anyway) exclusion. Depth of field and focal point are just right....thus the whole is elevated to a greater extent than the 2nd. And also, just the shifting of the photographer's viewpoint a little has dramatically altered the relationship between the viewer and the people within the frame. We've seen a few examples of late that exemplify this low viewpoint...definitely working with the lens here. Lovely.

I have to agree with Zig; I overlooked the first photo when I hurried through the forum a couple of days ago, but it is really striking. Zig has summed it up perfectly. It's an evocative photograph that tells a strong story.
