Taken from near the same spot Ansel Adams took his famous photograph, Tetons and Snake River.

I'm quite happy with this one.

Awlllrightythen! I'm suddenly very interested!
Stonkalicious!
May we have some details here my man??

Ansel was probably higher and to your right?

I would be happy with this, too.
Outstanding!
Another beautiful photo of yours. Pavel
Oh right, details, sorry. Photo was taken at about 4 in the afternoon from snake river overlook. I suspect Keith is probably right about Ansel being higher; I know that it wasn't uncommon for him to shoot from the back of his ute (American translation: pickup truck).

Anyway, for the technical side of things, it's an HDR of 10 shots between 1/8 and 1/2000, at f25, ISO100, with a focal length of 30mm.

I actually didn't like this picture at first, and was about to discard it, when I said to myself "eh, I wonder what it looks like in black and white" *click* "OMG YES!"
f.25: that's the spirit!
Works really well...how didja manage to get the "halo-free" skyline? Lovely and well worth the work there my man.
No halo is from lots of tweaking in photomatix, and using 10 images to start with. Also was a lot of selective dodging and burning, with several layers and layer masks.

Ansel would be proud. Big Grin

A very nice photo, it's very effective.
Thanks Cameron; good job there mate. Smile
Beautiful picture RP... Smile
Nice example of well produced HDR photography. I think it works especially well being monochrome. You should be very, very happy with this picture!
