The weather is just naughty here lately, so I started placing seeds outside of the back door, where our living room is. Yesterday I saw this Morning Dove seeking shelter from the blowing snow and wind, s/he was there for about 5, 10 minutes. All I had to do is open the door a few inches and shoot from the inside.

That is one lovely bird. What kind of dove is that?
Quote Wikipedia..........The Mourning Dove (Zenaida macroura) is a member of the dove family (Columbidae). The bird is also called the American Mourning Dove or Rain Dove, and formerly was known as the Carolina Pigeon or Carolina Turtledove. It is one of the most abundant and widespread of all North American birds..........
Yes Don, and thanks. It's a Morning Dove indeed. Sometimes they make sound too, when the weather i nice.
Oh, and here is another shot of the same Dove, this is from the side.
