From Garibaldi Lake the hike to this ridge is approx 7 kms. From here you can see most of the Garibaldi region. A hike to Panorama Ridge or Black Tusk would have meant an overnight stay as it is considered a day hike from the lake.
In this image Black Tusk would have been to the left overlooking the Ridge and separated by a glacier runoff. The area to which is called Cinder Cone.
I hiked this area 7 years ago in early August. It was still completely covered in snow.
